New video shows need for Plan for WA Jobs

We've launched a new video to raise public awareness of the need for a Plan for WA Jobs.

While things have been good over the last few years, Western Australia is heading for a jobs crisis.

What's worse,  Colin Barnett doesn't have a plan to deal with it.  He and his Liberal-National colleagues have been asleep at the wheel - sitting back while mining and construction do the heavy lifting, and doing nothing to grow other parts of the economy.

Right now, more than 80,000 people in our State are unemployed. The last time the figure was that high was 1993.

Those of us who were around then know what unemployment means. We fear for our ability to provide for our families and we worry about our kids’ futures.

We need a Plan for WA Jobs that makes the most of the opportunities our resources sector provides, and develops new industries for the future.

Over the next two years leading up to the 2017 State Election, we'll be campaigning hard to get our politicians to develop a Plan for WA Jobs.  We can’t stick our heads in the sand and hope everything will be okay.

In the weeks and months ahead, we'll let you know how you can get involved in the campaign.  In the meantime, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Why we need a Plan for WA Jobs...

Our campaign is about keeping the State Government focused on jobs during the COVID-19 economic recovery period.
